Charlton Jordan
Charlton Jordan Charlton Jordan is a 26-year old aspiring gospel singer / songwriter from Nitro, West Virginia. From an early age he found joy and inspiration in singing gospel music. His first experience in singing before an audience was with his church choir at the age of ten. His passion and desire is to help spread the gospel to those in need through the ministry of music. Charlton has been faithful to the call that God has placed on his life.

To help better prepare him for this, Charlton began taking vocal training in 1997. In 1999, Charlton began attending Poca High School. There he continued his training with the schools show choir. He has studied under David Legg and Roger Lucas. During his tenure at Poca High School, he set many school records as “Outstanding Performer”, as well as the school winning a record number of Grand Champion awards. Since 2007 Charlton has been taking vocal lessons with Brett Manning.

Some of these vents include their annual Homecoming celebration, a benefit to raise money for the families of the victims of the 9/11 tragedy, and various local festivals and fund raisers. Charlton is attending West Virginia State University, where his field of study is Criminology.

Charlton’s goal is to obey the call that God has placed on his life. To reach those who are hurting and lost through the ministry of music. Not only does he want to help spread the gospel here and abroad, but it is his heart’s desire to give praise, honor, glory and blessing to our Heavenly Father. His willingness to sacrifice so much as a young man, is an inspiration and a motivator for us all.

Charlton received a special blessing in August, 2005 when he received a phone call from his long time role model and mentor, Bill Gaither. He had the pleasure of having dinner with Mr. Gaither who shared with him some words of wisdom and direction for his life. Since then, Charlton has had the pleasure of being on multiple Gaither Homecoming Tapings. He has also been a special guest on numerous Gaither Homecoming Concerts.
